DOUGLAS FIR

Douglas fir or “Oregon Pine” takes its name from its native region, the state of Oregon in North America. It grows slowly and the tree can measure 50 to 60 meters in height and up to 2 meters in diameter. Its structure is very solid thanks to small annual rings accumulated during its slow growth. Douglas fir is popular with carpenters and cabinetmakers due to its mechanical properties, durability and rigidity. It is ideal for exterior coatings, shipbuilding frames, as well as for the interior joinery, quality packaging and poles, for example.
